Ventana Oscura

Short film screenings, round tables and conferences about dark cinema.

In its fifth edition, Ventana Oscura pays tribute to Spanish director Luis Buñuel on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of his death. Román Gubern, Julio Pérez Perucha and Ángel Sala, director of the Sitges Film Festival, three experts on the Aragonese director’s filmography, will share their perspective on the darkness in the work of the recognized author.

Later, José Antonio Fortea, priest, theologist, renowned exorcist and author of many books as "Summa Daemoniaca", will make an approach to the topic of exorcism on film, focusing on how it has been treated throughout history of cinema and the truths and myths surrounding it.

Finally, will take place the already the non competitive shortfilms screening, which this year have been selected by a jury composed of audiovisual sector professionals: Koldo Serra, director, Javier Botet, actor, Alberto Marini, screenplayer and producer, and José Antonio De Luna, co-founder of Filmin, prestigious online movie plattform which will choose the recipient of the filming special award "Cortometraje Ventana Oscura-Filmin".
