SGM ART

The cultural associations Besarilia and Mentenebre present the 1st Neo-Symbolist Art Salon in the frame of the 5th Madrid Gothic Week.
The artistic proposals of the exhibition are based on the reinterpretation of the Symbolist iconography according to the countreculture and countreart parameters, and in oppositon to the market and establishment. These proposals have been seleced by a plastic arts experts jury following a 2013 call. ( For further information about the call click here ).

Official inauguration of the exhibition will be on October 31st at 19:00 in Centro Cultural La Corrala and shall remain open to November 30th.

The exhibition proposes a theme tour around the Symbolist imagination, reformulated in the twenty first century: the damsel, the night world journey, the reinterpretation of biblical motifs, the curseds return, the via for transformation, the onirico world journey, and to conclude: the underground eclipse in the contemporanity.
